Calling all adventurous women who want to explore but with comfort and safety.
This women’s walking safari to Kenya is about slowing things down and really experiencing the wild.
Combining incredible wildlife in Samburu National Park with a few days walking through the remote Laikipia region alongside Samburu warriors, before finishing at the beautiful Tumaren Camp to rest and relax before your flight home.
It’s a small, supportive group of like-minded women, with a real focus on connection - to nature, to local culture, and to each other all in a part of Kenya that feels far less travelled and much more raw.

Day-to-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Nairobi
Today you’ll be met at arrivals in Nairobi by our VIP Meet & Greet service, assisted through passport control, customs and baggage claim before being introduced to your driver.
You’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can enjoy a welcome drink and settle in.

Day 2
Samburu National Park
After breakfast we’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for our private charter flight to Samburu National Park.
Upon landing we’ll be met by our guide and transferred to Elephant Bedroom Camp to settle in before lunch and an afternoon gamedrive exploring the incredible wildlife of Samburu

Day 3
Samburu National Park
Today we’ll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu keeping an eye out for Africa’s most iconic animals such as lions, cheetah, leopards, giraffe, zebra and elephants.
While having your midday siesta at camp you may well see elephant herds crossing the river infront of your tent.

Day 4
Reteti Elephant Sanctuary
After an optional morning gamedrive we’ll enjoy breakfast at camp before being transferred to the airstrip for our private flight to Tumaren Ranch via Retetl Elephant Sanctuary.
Reteti is a community run orphanage for young elephants, rescuing, raising and re-releasing them back into the wild.
We’ll then hop back on our short flight to Tumaren Ranch where we will meet our guides and camels for a short introduction walk to our camp set up in the bush.

Day 5
Karisia Walking Safari
After breakfast we’ll explore the Nayasura site where rock paintings show signs that this area has been used by hunter gatherers for thousands of years. Our morning walk will be between 3-4 hours, with camel support should you get tired.
We’ll arrive at camp in time for a delicious lunch and an afternoon siesta in the heat of the day.
In the afternoon we’ll enjoy a beading session with the local Samburu ladies before a short walk and sundowner.

Day 6
Karisia Walking Safari
Todays walk covers another 10-12km heading south towards the Ewaso Nyiro River. Your Samburu guides will share knowledge of medicinal plants, local customs and how to read tracks and signs in the bush.
The route crosses open plains - home to zebra, oryx, gazelle and if we’re lucky elephants. This area is known as Nyarara, meaning cheetah in Maa, named after a large male frequently seen here.

Day 7
Tumaren Camp
After breakfast we’ll set out on a final walk in the bush to Tumaren Camp for our final night.
On arrival we’ll enjoy lunch before a well deserved relaxing afternoon.
The afternoon is at leisure to relax around the pool and take in your final hours in the bush. There are options for afternoon activities such as visiting a local school, visit the camel creche and try milking, bike ride or visit the baboon research centre.

Day 8
Back to Nairobi and Home
After a relaxing morning we’ll climb aboard our private plane for one more scenic flight as we make our way back to Nairobi.
Depending on our flight time there will be opportunities for some shopping in Nairobi or a day room at the Four Points by Nairobi Airport for freshening up before your flight (cost not included)
